Success in College

Seth M
In my MA program, I have an interview project coming up where after the interview I write a 5-page report on it. However, the person I need to interview is not responding! The project is worth a lot, and due soon. Please pray that he will respond. Pray that the interview will be completed, and I will do well on this project. Also, pray that God will give me success in this program. Pray for success and excellence in every major research project and every major presentation. Pray for self-discipline, wisdom, mental clarity and focus. Thanks for your prayers.

Asking for Wisdom

Seth M
Please pray for Biblical wisdom in every area that I need it. Pray for greater wisdom, understanding, clarity, discernment, and wise counsel. Pray that God will surround me with people with wisdom in the specific areas where I need it. Pray that God will guide, guard and watch over my steps, and prevent me from taking unwise paths. Pray that my life path will be Christ-centered, and glorifying to the Lord. Pray that I will be fit for God’s service and fulfill God’s purpose, calling, will and mission for my life. I’m 39, have not married, and only had 2 brief relationships. So pray that God will reveal His will on whether I should pursue marriage or commit to singleness as I pursue God’s purpose. More than anything, pray for absolute purity, whether I pursue marriage or stay single. Pray for God to cleanse and purify me in the deep, hidden areas of life, the sins others do not see will be washed, cleansed, removed by the blood of Christ. Thanks.

Living Situation

Seth M
I’m in my first semester of the Multnomah University MA TESOL program. I had a dangerous situation with my living/rent situation, and they urgently moved me into the dorms, the last month of the semester. Because of my age, I don’t know if they’ll let me stay in this dorm room, or if I’ll need to move to campus apartments, or another environment. Portland is a dangerous city, and I cannot just rent a room somewhere. Please pray that God will ensure, hold and preserve the best place for me to live, whether it’s on or off campus. Pray for a place that is inexpensive, with a healthy community, and is safe and peaceful where I can study well. Pray for a place where my heart can rest, where I feel a sense of belonging, and feel at home. Pray that I will succeed in my studies, succeed in this program, and even meet and marry my wife during this season. Thanks.

Deliverance from Danger

Seth McAdams
Sullay (from Sierra Leone) and I are Christians who have moved into a Micronesian household under false pretenses. I’m pursuing my MA TESOL, and he’s been pursuing his doctorate but took a break due to disability. We’ve known the Micronesian man for years, and believed him to be godly, but after moving in we realized his deception— he’s a serious drug addict, and is using our rent money to pay drugs, putting everyone and his household in danger. We are afraid the next crash will be violent. Pray! Sullay recently received a warning from the Lord about the food being spiked. Pray for God’s deliverance and protection from this evil environment. Pray that the blood of Christ will protect and shield us, and that God will surround us with His mighty angels, guarding us from all harm. Pray for wisdom in our words and actions, and protection from all lies and deception. Finally, pray that God will get us out of here, into safe, inexpensive living arrangements immediately—God, protect our money! Remove us so fast that we don't pay another dime on rent, to be misused on drugs.
